The President of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has commiserated with the Kano Deputy Gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo over the death of his mother, Hajiya Rabi.
The deceased died on Saturday, 5th October, 2022 in Kano at the age of 88 after a brief illness.
The condolence message was contained in a statement signed by Prof. Gwarzo and issued to newsmen in Kano on Sunday.
Prof. Gwarzo, who is the Founder and Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, described the death of Hajiya Rabi as a great loss not only to her immediate family but to Karaye Emirate and Kano State at large.
"I wish to behalf of my family and Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN) conglomerate, to extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Comrade Aminu Abdussalam on the demise of our mother, Hajiya Rabi," Prof. Gwarzo said.
Prof. Gwarzo, who is also the President of Association of African Private Universities (AAPU) condoled with the people of Gwarzo and Karaye Emirate over the great loss.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to give Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam and members of his family the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive all her shortcomings and grant the deceased the highest level of Jannah (Jannatul Firdaus).
The deceased, who left behind two sons and 35 grand children, had since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites in Kano.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace, ameen.
