The Chairman, Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, on behalf of the Council, approved the appointment of Dr. Habib Abubakar Awais as the Vice President, Administration/ Registrar, MAAUN, Kano- Nigeria.
The appointment was announced in a statement by Professor Abubakar Gwarzo and issued to newsmen in Kano on Friday.
According to the statement, Abubakar Awais is a Chief Lecturer at the Department of English and European Languages, Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies (KASCEPS).
He is also a Resource Person at Maryam Abacha American University of Niger and Director of Operations, Intercontinental Development Institute (ICDI).
"Dr Abubakar Uwais is also the Chief Executive Officer of Classic Consulting Firm and was an Independent Consultant at U.S Embassy, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire as well as a researcher in English Literature at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia," the statement added.
