The National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (NACHPN) has bestowed a prestigious award of excellence on the Founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo.
The National President of the association, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed, presented the award to the awardee on Wednesday, 9th of May 2024, at a brief ceremony.
He said the decision to honor Prof. Gwarzo with the prestigious award, was in recognition of his pivotal role in advancing the field of Community Health Practitioners (CHPs) in Nigeria, especially within the academic realm.
The NACHPN President further lauded Prof. Gwarzo for championing initiatives aimed at elevating the academic qualifications of community health practitioners as well as his contribution to the promotion of community health in the country.
While emphasizing the indispensable value of academic knowledge and skills in enhancing community health practices nationwide, the National President underscored the significance of recognizing the human effort exemplified by individuals like Prof. Gwarzo.

In his remark at the occasion, Prof. Gwarzo expressed gratitude for the honor done to him and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the cause of community health beyond the borders of Nigeria.
