The Founder and Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has extended his heartfelt condolence to Tafidan Sarkin Samarin Agege, Alhaji Ibrahim Iro Garba over the death of his wife, Saiyyada Hafsa Saiyadi Usman Bashir.
Aged 40, Saiyyada Hafsa passed away on Thursday, 5th July, 2023, at matrimonial house in Kano following a brief illness.
In a condolence message issued to newsmen on Sunday, Prof. Gwarzo expressed deep shock over the sudden death of Saiyyada Hafsat.
He described her death as a huge loss not only to her husband and immediate family but to her parents and other relations.
Prof. Gwarzo also commiserated with the family and husband of the deceased who holds the traditional titles of Tafidan Sarkin Samarin Agege and Dan Adalan Turai over the death of Saiyyada Hafsat whom he described as a humble and obedient wife.
"So, on behalf of my family, Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, I wish to extend our condolences to you and family of the deceased over this great loss, "Prof. Gwarzo said.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the entire family the emotional strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Prof. Gwarzo, who had since paid a condolence visit to the husband of the deceased at Gwammaja Quarters in Kano metropolis, prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and reward her good deeds with Jannatul Fiddaus.
The deceased left behind two male children and had since been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites in Kano.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace, Ameen.
