The President of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has commiserated with Senator Aliyu Wamakko, the Magatakarda of Wamakko over the demise of his wife, Hajiya Atika.
The condolence message was contained in a statement personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and made available to newsmen in Kano on Monday.
Prof. Gwarzo, who is the Founder and Chairman, Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, (MAAUN), described the death of Hajiya Atika as great loss not only to her immediate family but to entire people of Sokoto State.
"It’s with a heavy heart that we received the news of the sudden death of your beloved wife, Hajiya Atika.
"On behalf of my family and Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN), I wish to extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to you on the passing on of your beloved wife.
"I also want to use this opportunity to condole the entire people of Sokoto State over the huge loss. May the Almighty Allah give you and the entire family the strength to bear the irreparable loss," Prof. Gwarzo said in the condolence message.
Prof. Gwarzo, who is also the President of Association of African Private Universities (AAPU) prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Jannatul Firdaus.
