MAAUN Niger condoles two female students over father's death, Dr. Ado Hamza Soron Dinki


The Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN), Maradi, has commiserated with the two female students of the University, Maryam and Maimuna Ado Hamza Sorondinki, who died on Monday, 24th November 2022.

The deceased, Dr. Ado Hamza Sorondinki died around 10:30 pm at the Mallam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano following a brief illness.

The two daughters of the deceased, who are graduates of the University, are currently undergoing post-graduate program (Msc Nursing) at MAAUN Maradi.

The condolence message was contained in a statement by the President of MAAUN Niger, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo and  issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Kano.

Prof. Gwarzo described the death of Kano's first ENT Consultant, Dr. Ado Hamza Soron Dinki as a huge loss not only to his immediate family, but to the Government and people of Kano State.

Prof. Gwarzo, who is also the Founder and Chairman, Governing Council of MAAUN Nigeria, described the deceased as a
generous and hardworking physician, who served Kano state government and retired in 2019.

"On behalf of the Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger, I wish to extend our condolences to the family, friends and associates of the deceased.

"The Management of the university wishes to also commiserate with the government and people of Kano state over the demise of Dr. Ado Hamza Sorondinki. May the Almighty Allah forgive all her shortcomings," he said.

Prof. Gwarzo also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased physician Aljannah Firdaus and his family the courage to bear the great loss.

The deceased who hailed from Sorondinki quarters in Kano Municipal Local Government Area, was buried in accordance with the Islamic rites on Tuesday, 15th November 2022.
