The Students of Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Government Junior Secondary School, Hotoro GRA Kano have commended the Founder and Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria for establishing the school in the area
The students, who are mostly children of the masses, made the commendation in separate interviews with newsmen held in the school on Thursday.
One of the students, Fatima Adam Usman who is in JSS III, said she was extremely happy to have been given the opportunity by Prof. Gwarzo to study in a school established by him since 2013.
"Iam really happy to be a student of Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Government Junior Secondary School Hotoro GRA because it's an opportunity for me to be a student of the school.
She, however, called on Prof. Gwarzo to provide additional classes in addition to staff rooms and toilets for students and staff members.
Another female student, Hafsat Aliyu Mohammed who also thanked Prof. Gwarzo, for single handedly establishing the school, prayed God to reward him abundantly and give him good health and the strength to continue to support the less privileged in the society.
Also speaking another female student, Salma Mahmud Aliyu, prayed to God to replenish his wealth and give him long life and prosperity.
She appealed to him to construct additional classrooms and toilets for both staff and Students of the school.
She also called on Prof. Gwarzo to consider the possibility of giving students of the school scholarships to study in his University, Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria or MAAUN Maradi in Niger Republic.
One of the students, who spoke on behalf of orphans in the school, Mohammad Mohammad, also called on Prof. Gwarzo to give them scholarship to further their studies after graduating from the school.
Most of the students who spoke at the occasion, prayed to Almighty Allah to uplift the status of Prof. Gwarzo to the highest level to enable the society to continue to benefit from his magnanimity and benevolence.
In his remarks, the Principal of the school, Alhaji Idris Saleh thanked Prof. Gwarzo for establishing the school and providing no fewer than 100 three-seater chairs.
He also commended Prof. Gwarzo for constructing six classrooms and a motorized borehole and called on him to construct additional classrooms and toilets for students and staff members as the existing ones are grossly inadequate.
"We don't have enough words to thank Prof. Gwarzo. But we shall continue to pray for his success in life," the principal added.
