Prof. Adamu Gwarzo tasks students on innovation

The Founder of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN),Kano Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has  stressed the need for the students of the university to be innovative so as to enable them to become successful in life. Professor Gwarzo  gave the charge on Wednesday while addressing the newly admitted students from the Management and Social Science Department as part of an orientation programme organised for the students by the university in Kano on Wednesday. He said there was urgent need for the students to be innovative in view of the fact that it is crucial to the success of an  individual.

"If you are innovative, money will not only come your way but it will look for you. So, take your time to be innovative in your life," Professor Abubakar Gwarzo told the students.

He further enjoined the students to acquire multi-lingual skills to enable them to benefit from job opportunities available at the global level.

According to him, the multilingual skills would give them the opportunity to work in francophone countries across the globe.

He said communicating in various languages could give a multilingual applicant a clear advantage over a monolingual applicant in the job field.

"This is the reason why Niger Republic has more people working in United Nations and ECOWAS headquarters than Nigeria,"

The Founder charged the new students to face their studies with all the seriousness it deserves as the university would not condone indiscipline and moral laxity among them.

Professor Abubakar Gwarzo, who, spoke at length on how he got approval for the establishment of MAAUN Maradi in Niger Republic, said with determination and commitment, an individual could achieve his or her dream in life.
